Good Dog Retreat is a social outlet for dogs. We offer boarding, day care, and grooming services (when available) catering to the Outer Banks area from the town of Manteo, NC. Convenient to HWY US 64, our facility is easy to find and has several indoor / outdoor play areas available for dogs. The business is founded and owned by two best friends that have worked with dogs their whole lives.

We think that socialization and exercise is important for dogs AND their families. We desire to provide quality care for the pets at our retreat while their owners are unable to be with them. Good Dog Retreat offers a safe and healthy space for dogs to release their energy and gain social confidence.
Not every dog wants socialization – that’s okay! We offer non-social boarding as well. We encourage every dog owner to consider what fits their pet’s needs the best.
